SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS ON CAMPUS
Our goal is for students to know Jesus and to make Him known.
We recognize that every person is in a different place when it comes to a relationship with God. At MCS, we take an evangelistic approach to Christian education, giving students the opportunity to know Jesus and live a Christ-centered life. We provide students with opportunities to experience the transformational power of Christ through Bible classes, weekly Chapel, and one-on-one pastoral care. We integrate biblical teachings into every aspect of our curriculum, preparing our students to live out their faith boldly and compassionately in the world around them.
Modesto Christian's Statement of Faith
The school views itself as an indispensable part of the three major forces in the life of each child:
the home, the church, and the school. Modesto Christian School was founded and functions upon
the basic, fundamental principles of the Word of God, and it espouses the historic Christian view
of life as presented in the Bible. The following statements of faith are held by Modesto Christian:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God
(II Timothy 3:15; II Peter 1:21).
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
(Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke
1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning
death (I Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; I
Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return
in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of
the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith
in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone we are saved
from condemnation. (John 3:16-19, 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the
resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation. (John 5:28-
29; Matthew 25:46).
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; I Corinthians
12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28; Romans 12:4-6).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is
enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:12-14; I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30,
5:18).
We believe that God wonderfully foreordained and immutably created each person as either
male or female in conformity with their biological sex. These two distinct yet complementary
genders, together, reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26–27).
We believe human beings are image-bearers of God, and as such, we value and honor each
and every person (Genesis 1:26-27, Colossians 3:9-10).
Spring Spiritual Emphasis Recap
2025-2026
Spiritual Emphasis Week was a powerful and impactful time across our campus as students from Kindergarten through 12th grade came together to worship, grow, and be challenged in their faith. Throughout the week, students engaged in meaningful moments of worship, heard encouraging messages rooted in God’s Word, and had opportunities to respond in personal and authentic ways.
From large group gatherings to intentional breakout conversations, it was incredible to see students take steps in their spiritual journey. Whether that meant asking questions, seeking prayer, or making the decision to follow Christ. We are grateful for what God did in the hearts of our students and believe this week will have a lasting impact far beyond the week.

I am honored to serve as the Campus Pastor here at Modesto Christian School, where I am passionate about helping students grow in their faith and discover their God given purpose. With a heart for the next generation, I get to create spaces for students from Preschool through 12th grade to encounter God in meaningful and relevant ways.
I am committed to leading with authenticity, energy, and a deep desire to see students not just know about God, but to challenge students to take their next steps towards the heart of God.
