What is the Crusader Fund campaign?
The Crusader Fund is Modesto Christian School’s primary annual giving initiative. It provides essential funding beyond tuition to advance our mission: “Developing Christ-centered leaders through excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts.” The campaign unites our entire community, inviting current families, staff, School Board members, alumni, and friends of Modesto Christian to invest in our students.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes, 100%. Donors are encouraged to consult their tax advisor for specific guidance. You will be provided with tax documents at the appropriate time.
Why does the school need the Crusader Fund if we already pay tuition?
Tuition covers operational expenses. The Crusader Fund is designed to expand the ministry beyond the day-to-day expenses.
What is the spiritual
significance of giving?
At Modesto Christian, fundraising is a ministry. Giving is an act of stewardship that invites our community to invest the mission of Modesto Christian School: Developing Christ Centered leaders through excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts.
Where do Crusader Fund gifts go?
All contributions are placed directly into a designated account and used strictly for the campaign's stated annual priorities, which are developed collaboratively by the School Board, School Administration, and parent representatives.
What happens if we exceed our
$200,000 goal?
Praise God! We have already identified other mission-critical projects that will immediately receive funding should we exceed our initial goal.

Who is invited to give to the Crusader Fund?
Everyone who believes in the mission of Modesto Christian! We invite parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, School Board members, faculty, staff, and local community friends to participate.
How is the Crusader Fund different from other fundraising events?
While single-purpose fundraisers support specific teams or clubs, the Crusader Fund provides schoolwide enhancements that benefit every student.
How much should
I give?
Every gift matters, regardless of size. Rather than focusing on a specific dollar amount, we ask people to pray and give as the Lords.
How will the $200,000 goal be allocated
this year?
Contributions will fund three key priorities in order of priority:
- $120,000 | Campus Safety & Security: Upgrading campus-wide cameras, electronic door access, communication systems, and network infrastructure as part of our multi-year safety plan.
- $55,000 | Field Lighting: Installing lights on our all-purpose field to expand usage for physical education, night practices, weekend camps, and community events.
- $25,000 | Need-Based Tuition Assistance: Providing financial aid to qualified families facing hardship so their children can remain part of the Crusader family.
